Abstract

Predictive models, represented through an equation, are the Artillery firing computer’s function key, as well as its application software andthe trajectory calculation algorithm.Hence the importance of formulating a methodology that allows its implementation, through a software to predict the trajectory of a projectile. To demonstrate each of the forces and moments that represent the trajectory, it’s necessary to choose a model of understandable physical interpretation and also to be able to deliver results of great accuracy. Once the model has been selected, a broad technical knowledge about shooting and external ballistics programs must be achieved with the purpose of interpreting each variable and parameter that influences the trajectory od the shot, whose mathematical formulation is validated in the particular case of ammunition 155 mm, in the STANAG 4355.
