DISEÑO PRELIMINAR DE UN CAJÓN DE LOS MECANISMOS MONOBLOQUE DE ALEACIÓN FERROSA PARA EL FUSIL SG 542-1 FAMAE

Abstract

For about 30 years, FAMAE has produced the SG 542-1 7,62x51 mm caliber FAMAE rifle, with a receiver made of stamped, folded, welded and machined steel plates. Moreover, recently and under IWI license, FAMAE has fabricated the receiver of the Galil ACE 22 NC 5,56x45 mm caliber rifle, from a 4340 steel mono-block worked in CNC machining centers. Thus, the present work objective is to describe the preliminary design of a mono-block receiver, made of 4340 steel, for the SG 542-1 7,62x51 mm caliber rifle. Reductions of fabrication time and costs are expected.
