Abstract

The following study proposes the use of computational fluid dynamics to obtain the drag coefficient of the projectiles, specifically the 155 mm artillery one. This study seeks to use simulation as a tool among many others used to obtain projectiles`s drag coefficient and, therefore, to be able to perform ammunition evaluations and even modifications in its geometry, using a computational tool that uses mathematical model stop redict the behavior of the projectile in flight, external ballistics and, also,to provide background for the creation of shooting tables.
