The Chilean Army uses the Military Planning Process (MPP) as a fundamental tool in its military operations, including the analysis of relative combat power through the "Potentials Computing" software. However, it faces difficulties in calculating tangible power factors due to the inefficiency of the software, primarily due to usability issues. For this reason, the War Academy seeks to develop a technological solution to support the analysis of relative combat power.
The outcome of this research is the preliminary design of the Potentials Calculations software. This software, built with modern technologies and dynamic interfaces, allows the user to assess Combat Units and UACs, establishing the relationship between own and adversary forces, thereby facilitating analysis. This preliminary design follows the software engineering methodology in its development.
